I just love neon signs and mid-century places that are still standing. I thought this was such a fun sign and I wanted to depict it as if we caught a glimpse of it driving by, making us hungry and wanting to stop. The actual restaurant is a great stopover in Central Florida. I used color Conté to get it to pop and it works well with the charcoal. Even though this is a smaller work, it really grabs attention.
