Blue Ice (Classic Blue) Print

In this way, he let the paints drain from the top of canvas controlling the amount of paint he would drain. This is a kind of contemporary Tarashikomi technique, meaning "dripping in". These is a Japanese painting technique, in which a second layer of paint is applied before the first layer is dry. In this particular case, the artist applied numerous layers of paint onto the canvas. In this way, he let the paints drain from the top of canvas controlling the amount of paint he would drain. He called it "painting drained".
