About The Artwork
Excitement - buildings, movement, lights, reflections – inspired by my experience living in this city. I never think of the Atlanta as a skyline, but as a combination of moving, ever changing forms breaking through the air and space to create my city. "Break Through" is acrylic on canvas which has been attached to a 1/8" panel and then framed in a narrow frame approximately 1/2" x 1" deep. The frame is a mid-tone brown with touches of gold to complement the painting. The colors of the painting are rich overlays of yellow, reddish brown and oranges with touches of blue-gray for contrast. The surface of the painting is semi-gloss, showing the brushwork.

I was once traveling with a close friend, photographing everything in sight, as any tourist does. I asked him, "Don't you want to take any photos?" My art is about remembering things . . . in my own way . . . and "disremembering" everything else. A native of Fort Worth, Texas, my artistic career began at an early age when I began painting with my mother on Sunday afternoons.
