ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My idea was to paint colors in contrast with each other. In combination with expressive light and dark contrasts. On the top of these fat paint layers I used paintknives and fat paint for to make structures in the wet paint. Small structures and also more bigger in parts. There are to see two very small paint craters, maked with passion by use of very small paintknives. At the end of the paint session I used softly hair brushes for to glaze transparent paint layers over the dry painted parts. These effects are very good to see in the heavy red colors in the big part on the right near to under. For me it was a great pleasure to use my paint techniques for all of these paint and color effects!

Born in 1948 in Leiden, Netherlands. Where I live and work as a very professional artist till now. Since my younger years I wanted to learn techniques of drawing, painting, watercolor, gouache, crayon, pastel and graphical. Also I used a camera for to train myself in making beauty photos. In the beginning I was self-taught and I learned myself so many experience through so intensive training of using the art materials. Also I was in contact with two artists from Leiden who gived to me many advises and art training. Since I was 15 years I received formal education by a small art academy in Leiden and two years later I was following the study and training by the Royal academy of visual arts in The Hague. In my youth I was fascinated through the art of Paul Klee, Marc Chagall and Kees Verwey (a Dutch painter).
