“My name is Priyanka Singh, I live in Mumbai, India. Even though, I studied Psychology and then a Masters in Business Administration specializing in Finance and Marketing, my heart was not in a banking job. I yearned for my true calling. I wanted to create. Colors, Shapes, Designs move me and my first experiences as an artist began when I suddenly quit my job one day and set myself on the path of studying and learning Art. It was here that I realized that I wanted to pursue a career in this field. I believe that being an artist is something that one is born to do and not learned at school. I went on to study through practical experience, learning through trial and error and self-learning, studying the works of many masters as well as contemporary artists. I am mostly a self-taught painter but now hold a Diploma in Commercial Art. I enjoy teaching workshops in my spare time. I work primarily in Oil and Acrylic mediums and I currently work from my studio in Mumbai, India.
