Clarence Gardener, a Ph.D. Candidate in Public Health and an expert in experimental phenomenology, is a visionary researcher and prolific artist who synergizes art and science to achieve therapeutic outcomes. Initially, as a professional musician, he utilized the concept of synesthesia in his unique method of teaching music to children, which involved “translating” colors and abstract images into sounds. Painter Wassily Kandinsky also shared this connection between color and sound, expressing his belief that music could reveal the path to a new artistic expression. His innate talent for painting was acknowledged while he was studying Expressive Art Therapies under international experts. Since then, painting has become his primary artistic medium. He has been actively involved in numerous creative projects and exhibitions, highlighting his talents, including a recent interview by ABC Action News in 2023. Gardener, a self-taught painter, and pioneer of the painting style "Transformative Expressionism", has been compared to Arshile Gorky, Jackson Pollock, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. He has adopted the words of Claude Monet as his motto: “To successfully convey what I feel, I completely disregard the most basic rules of painting, if they even exist.
