Forbidden fruit - the description of the series of paintings.
This series is not related to religion. Here forbidden fruit is a symbol of those things that we do not (but we could have) allow ourselves. Each person surrounds him- or herself with stereotypes, labels and, of course, with an incredible amount of taboos.
Here we talk about those pleasant trifles that change nothing in our lives. Besides our mood – and a great deal of things depend on it.
I am not the kind of person who would teach someone how to live their lives. And I, personally, often refuse something I could have afforded. My work does not give answers to questions, but rather asks them. Is something that we call a “vice” truly this vicious?
In my paintings, I tried to convey the feeling of how pleasant could be these joys of life that you allow yourself.
I hope I managed to do that. Enjoy! Let yourself indulge. :-)
