According to the legend, after the death of Alexander the great, his sister drawn her self because of grief, but she turned into an angry mermaid asking the sailors if Alexander was still alive. This painting, decided to give an end to her grief. Now she has forgiven all the bad luck and offers flowers to the viewers. She has set herself free, and lives in peace, in the water.
