Art Description

Painting: Acrylic on Canvas.

Kai moana is the Maori word for seafood. It is a combination of the word kai food + moana sea.
This is a small painting of a solitary cockle collector, a local activity that has been practised here for possibly hundreds of years. Beautiful fat sweet juicy cockles, steamed open and eaten on a piece of buttered bread yummy. A delicious delicacy of the sea, enjoyed by locals.

* This painting has multilayers of acrylic paint on canvas making this work highly textural, finished with a quality varnish for a protective finish. The canvas is stretched over professionally made wooden stretcher bars, the painting is ready to hang.

*All paintings will be packed by the art packing professionals Pack and Send to their international standards.
