Nathalie Godard is a painter whose artistic practice is deeply rooted in nature and the memories evoked by the landscape. Guided by intuition, she develops a mixed-media practice in which movement, texture, and colour unfold and interact.
Trained in visual arts at Cégep du Vieux-Montréal, she continued her studies at UQAM, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts Education. She then devoted 33 years to teaching, sharing her passion for creativity with several generations of students.
Her emotionally charged works evoke landscapes in a constant state of transformation. Movement plays a central role, symbolizing life and the flow of energy. Through a sensitive and expressive approach, she invites viewers to explore a vibrant universe where colour and texture give form to inner landscapes.
Nathalie Godard has participated in numerous symposiums, as well as group and solo exhibitions. Her works are held in several private collections and have received various awards and distinctions.
Nathalie Godard est une artiste peintre dont la démarche s’enracine dans la nature et les réminiscences du paysage. Guidée par l’intuition, elle développe une pratique en techniques mixtes où se déploient mouvements, textures et couleurs.
Formée en arts plastiques au Cégep du Vieux-Montréal, elle a poursuivi ses études à l’UQAM, où elle a obtenu un baccalauréat en enseignement des arts plastiques. Elle a ensuite consacré 33 années à l’enseignement, partageant sa passion pour la création avec plusieurs générations d’élèves.
Ses œuvres, empreintes d’émotion, évoquent des paysages en transformation constante. Le mouvement y occupe une place centrale, symbole de la vie et de l’énergie en circulation. Par une approche sensible et expressive, elle invite le spectateur à explorer un univers vibrant, où couleur et matière traduisent des territoires intérieurs.
Nathalie Godard a pris part à de nombreux symposiums ainsi qu’à des expositions collectives et individuelles. Ses œuvres figurent dans plusieurs collections privées et ont été reconnues à travers divers prix et mentions.
