ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Russian folktale Lazy Arina Once upon a time there lived a man Ivan and wife Arina. He sent her to harvest a rye field. Here Arina came to the strip, squeezed out a place so that it was possible to lie down alone; lay down, slept well and went home, as if she really worked and worked. “What, wife,” the husband asks, “how much has she squeezed out today?” “? Thank God, I squeezed one place.” "Well it's good! - the man thinks. “One lane means over.” The next day, Arina again went into the field, squeezed the place and slept until the evening; and on the third day - the same, and on the fourth - the same; so all week and procrastinated. It's time, the man thinks, to go for sheaves in the field. Arrives - and the whole rye is undead; in some places, in some places squeezed out by places, and even so that only a person can lie down. He began to look for his wife and sees: she lies in one place and snores in such a way! The man is now home, he grabbed the scissors, returned to the stubble, cut off his woman's head; did all this and returned to the village. Here Arina slept, slept, and finally woke up; she clutched a hand on her head and said to herself: - Something hurt! I seem to be Arina, and my head is not mine! I’ll go home: if the dog barks, so I, therefore, are not Arina. I came to the village right to my hut and asked under the window: - What, your Arina is at home? The husband dared and said to her: - Houses! Then a dog crawled out from under the gate, did not recognize the mistress and rushed at her like a stranger; so enough for the floors. Arina jogging and jogging, as if she were to live away from her home! And she went to roam the field. The man took pity, forgave her, and from that time Arina began to reap ingenuity.

I was born in the village Nahoryany, near Dubno, Ukraine. Live in Dubno all my life. .I work in different styles and genres using oil and aquarelle paints, gouache, and also make graphics. Mostly my works are book illustrations. How do i draw my drawings? I make grimaces near the mirror when looking for a needed emotion. I love silence. Like working in the night when the city is asleep. I strive to create expressive images, convey emotions, human behavior. Also I love and paint nature: landscapes, flowers. It is important for me to know that one can find interest in my works, so that I would know my work was not in vain.
