Dear art-lovers, My name is Susanna Cardelli, I am a painter, calligrapher and grafics artist, autodidact by choice. Born in Rome, baroque curves around in my veins. Various family members passed their love for the arts to me from an early age, inspiring admiration and wonder. Throughout my childhood and first youth, I traveled the world with my parents, thus developing an affinity to different cultures and means of expression, from the detailed and decorative of the South, to the impetuous brush-strokes of colder Europe, loving all. Later I studied communications design in Augsburg, Germany. Having worked for many years as set-designer for feature films, I am currently employed part-time at the Filmstudios in Babelsberg, and continue working as freelance calligraphist for government institutions, international companies and private clients. I have lived in Berlin since 1998, I have my family here and I have worked mostly here, on occasion in Italy and the U.S.A.
