ABOUT THE ARTWORK

It was so pleasant to work on such a nice topic on the silk, play with gradation of the black color, shape the flowers in the rainy atmosphere.... Painting with the ink on the silk is time - consuming and technically demanding, but it worth is. This is a painting on the silk.

Thanks to my numerous trips to Japan, I discovered the art and philosophy of ink painting. Since 2001 I have been studying the Sumi-e Art in Tokyo in the classes of well-known masters. In 2014 I received a diploma of Sumie Instuctor awarded by The Sumie Japan Association. I regularly exhibit my works at individual and group exhibitions in Europe, USA und Japan. 2016 my painting was awarded at TheTokyo National Art Center, followed by a Special Award in the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum during Le Salon Blanc -The International Exhibition of Contemporary Art. 2016 I became a member of the art group at the Noho M55 Gallery in New York. Since then I was awarded several times during the exhibitions n Japan. 2020 I have received a Special Award of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (International Exhibition Art for All, The National Art Center, Tokyo, Japan). In 2021 I was given my official Japanese art name, chosen by my master Tohun Kobayashi. In 2022 I was awarded with the Semi-Grand Award at the National Art Center, Tokyo, Japan. In my paintings I use very traditional techniques which have been always transmitted from master to master. Taking care of these technical world's treasures remains very important to me. Combining this ancient style with personal approach allows me to achieve a unique style. My artistic research goes also into creating a new concept of ink painting by introducing the contemporary means of expression.
