The painting “Love As a Toad II” is part of my exhibition "Evidence for the Official Death of Love". It consists of series of oil paintings in which I have, with humor and compassion, painted various phenomena that can go wrong and fail with love. I have tried to look at it from the perspective of a retired, auspicious and distant God of Love. The God of Love has retired. He no longer hears our prayers. Call Him as you wish - Eros, Cupid, Kamadeva, etc., etc. He is tired as an old teacher, tired of reckless students, so lazy and cruel when it comes to learning the noble art of love. Paintings are made of hybrid material, in which paper, ancient drawings, books that no one would want to read anymore are combined with vintage fabrics. Symbols and ancient gods from around the world have organized a jovial party on canvas. If you feel cynical, tired and tired of life, use "Evidence for the Official Death of Love" as a carefree booklet in the art of love. Little elves and fairies have studied the art of Tantra from ancient Indian and Persian manuscripts. They are very skillful, whimsical magical creatures. At the moment, the God of Love is far away from us. He watches our passions kindly, distantly, with a resigned smile. Love triangles and hexagons can't move him anymore. Burn a rose wreath or your credit card in his honor, pour an expensive bottle of perfume so that the aroma rises in the sky, it does not matter anymore. Maybe he will lean in the cloud on the other elbow, maybe he will drink a sip of wine. But it won't help, no. Your mixed, bloated feelings of love and sex will remain in the same painful, unresolved chaos as before. What can the blessed ones, those happily in love, do ? They can go away, look the other way, so that misfortune does not stick to them, so that ashes of love's suffering do not stain their feet.

My love for printed words is so strong that I make paintings and sculptures from orphaned books. I add different sorts of paper, textile fiber and found objects and treat this mixture as if it was a marble mine. I regard all human-made commodities as the raw material of the 21st century, they add opulence, playfulness and weirdness to my objects. My sculptures are hybrids - installations, huge marionettes and idol figures. I overcome gravity using a technique from marionette theater. Sculptures float in air and strings make them alive. I paint because I'm volatile. I catch all my demons and fears with a brush, so they are not threatening anymore. I'm hesitant, that's why I paint portraits in real time. Models don't have to speak. Sometimes I lay paintings in a horizontal plane, like huge rolls of parchment. The public can touch it, walk and crawl on it, contemplating the importance of daily grounding. I'm a mystic. I borrow deities and create semisacred, eerie spaces where sculptures, paintings, words and animation merge in a numinous, baroque amalgam. I love the tactile. My objects are sensuous to touch. I love word constellations, so there are collections of short stories to accompany the visual work. In a courageous mood, I transform stories into puppet performances and collaborate with theaters and musicians.
