Christophe Carlier is a Belgian-born contemporary painter and visual arts professor currently based in Morelia, Mexico. Best known for his vibrant, semi-abstract oil paintings, Carlier’s work translates the bold botanical and geographic forms of nature into striking, large-scale compositions.Holding a Master in Visual Arts from the Académie des Beaux-Arts de Tournai in Belgium, his rigorous European classical training is beautifully enriched by the chromatic shock of his adopted home.
