Davis Lisboa — The Paintings Section (Davis Museum Barcelona) Davis Lisboa (São Paulo, 1965) is a Barcelona-based painter working between figurative painting and institutional critique. His practice is structured around The Paintings Section of the Davis Museum Barcelona, a conceptual museum founded in 2009 and recognized by the Generalitat de Catalunya. Conceived as both a ready-made and a curatorial platform, the project examines authorship, display, and the boundaries between artwork and exhibition. Drawing on the legacy of Duchamp, Broodthaers, and Filliou, his paintings reinterpret art history through staged imagery and museological references, positioning each work as both an autonomous object and part of a broader system. His works are collected internationally across Europe and the United States. Acquire original paintings: Available to international collectors, with insured shipping and certificate of authenticity. For curated selections or inquiries: Contact via Saatchi Art.
