ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My work is a blend of feelings and textures arising out of the color fields of nature. I love the early morning feel of the sunlight just hitting the sky. It is a felling that I hope you can wake up with each time you look at this painting. The rollerblade wheel allows me to take the colorfully primed surface and cover it with overlapping textures that create a layered effect much like in the work of Joan Mitchell, a painter that I have long admired for her garden paintings made in France. I am an artist living in Aruba and inspired by the beauty I see around me.
