ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work was inspired by a visit to Manhattan. The layers of graffiti created a sense of liveliness, people leaving their mark everywhere. Although this is an older piece, I feel that it should be available as a print. It is part of a series of graffiti I did during my graduate work exploring the human hand in urban places. For me, watercolor has always given me an extraordinary amount of flexibility and the medium itself lends its "happy accidents" to the work.
