Hello. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela., and left relatively early to boarding school in Madrid, Spain. Later, i went to NYC with the idea of getting into Parsons School of Design, but after a few months of too much party my parents decided that NYC was not the best option, and i was sent to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to study Architecture. After 5 years in Rio, i went back to Caracas and worked for a year in my uncle's Architecture firm, and left again, this time to San Francisco, US, to work on a Master's degree at UC Berkeley, and ended staying in San Francisco where i worked at a very prestigious Architecture firm for 9 years as a Project Architect. Perhaps the fact that my job took more hours than i was willing to give, despite my love for Architecture, which became a source of increasing stress, motivated me to start exploring painting as a way for releasing that stress. My father was an accomplished amateur painter...he would make this beautiful portraits of his prized horses and bulls, at our ranch, so since very young i had paint at my disposal to play, and both my parents took me to long visits to many museums around the world, and i participated actively in choosing the paintings they acquired for our homes, abstracts being almost always the choices made, so i fell in love with abstract art. Once i dared to try to do something on my own, and liking it, i was hooked. Although i continued working for another 2 years, at some point i decided that what i really wanted to do was to paint, and voilà.
