About The Artwork

Pink mountain remind me about time, space, earth, universal. I love the arkworks of French Chinese artists such as: Chu Teh Chun, Zao Wou Ki and American artist Wolf Kahn. Huangshan mountain known as The Yellow mountain in China also remind me about natural much so I choose abstract expressism on my painting

I like East meets West culture. Many of my works display high-rise apartments and crowded streets, while in contrast, others depict landscapes of mountains and fields of moonlight. Some of my works have greater variations on displaying ethnic minorities. I have a widely used range of colours from the traditional lacquer colours of red, yellow and black, light green and silver in certain works. My current body of work explores the changing Vietnam, from traditional Vietnam consisting of ancient sacred structures to modern contemporary buildings. The relationships between traditional culture and modern culture is important in my work. Recently, I have been combining American abstract expressionism with Oriental calligraphy, as well as with the architecture of Vietnam in my artworks. I strive to capture the new Vietnam's internal feeling and quality as well as the external perception it generates. The external is perceived by the visible changing landscape, but the internal is held within my spirit. My spirit contains the power and aspiration and the concealed reality of what Vietnam can present to the world.
