About The Artwork
There are contours that are visible and some that are serrated, there are that do not belong to the one who carries it and others who are very well defined. It has a hand, standing, mouth, eyes outline, has situations circumventable, there are others that are not. There is a contour for everything. There are people who live well with the contour that life took and there are those who live in search of the one that never existed. Also interesting are the contours that nobody sees. Those that we accidentally accept and that sometimes we need years of eraser to erase. These I call Discontours. This research started in 2016. Motivated by the desire to make it available for the other to get around me. Each edition gained new contours and began to encompass the other's desire to submit to the contour and to experience artistic making, manifesting the creative power that hides in often dusty rooms of our home more intimate. Flávia Pinheiro is a visual artist, educator and actress. Bachelor in Social Communication at FAAP, graduated in scenic arts at SENAC, currently pursuing a degree in visual arts. She works as an educator for the Curumim program at SESC Pompeia. She was selected by the 2018 announcement of the Municipal Secretary of Culture of SP, as artist-educator of PIÁ (Artistic Initiation Program). As an educator, she worked in several SESC units and other cultural facilities. She was selected by the 2018 call for tenders by the Municipality of Bento Gonçalves for a solo exhibition at the Casa das Artes Foundation and exhibited her works in salons and galleries in Brazil and New York, and was on display with shows at SESC-São Paulo and Universidade de São Paulo - USP .
