Abrasax, guardian of heaven, (more often spelled Abraxas) is considered a solar deity, but he represents light and darkness, the sunny day and the stormy -- not polar opposites, but the pole itself, the thing that makes them one. He is like the spark of electricity or fire, the first principle that gives rise to all consciousness. In lower Egypt, the first principle was called Atum, the original, lone essence from which all existence sprung. However, Abrasax seems to have a degree of separation from the unknowable, inconceivable formless deity who retired after essentially splitting himself into a pantheon. Abrasax may represent Earth life's development of a brain. Ialdabaoth is his shield. Early esoteric Christians (known as Gnostics) seemed to have a very good grasp on the creative mind, with their pantheon being like a map of the mind of God, with fundamental traits being personified as deities. Having a large number of passages and scriptures edited out of the canon, the Holy Bible was rendered as a collection of fragments. With large and very important sections missing, the story line has been grossly misinterpreted for nearly the entire history of the religion. Demonization of Wisdom ushered in the dark ages. Few have eyes to see the light that lies behind the sun.

For me art is about making gems out of tragedies. My style is a distortion of light, color, and physical features inspired by the look of the Moai statues of Easter Island. I've been fascinated by the esoteric mysteries of anthropology my entire adult life, studying various worldviews spanning from ancient times to present day and into the realm of science fiction. Gnosticism may be the most influential philosophy to me, though I prefer to think of my path as more holistic. In my view, there is one meta-mythology composed of all mythologies.
