Born in the Yukon Territory, Gordon is a Canadian visual artist based in Collingwood, Ontario. Working across painting, sculpture, and glass, his multidisciplinary practice reflects a lifelong commitment to exploring diverse materials and forms. Before focusing primarily on painting, Gordon spent many years as a glassblower, producing thousands of hand-blown art works. He is also an accomplished stained glass artist, having completed commissioned windows for churches, as well as public and private spaces. Since 2012, painting has become the central focus of his practice. His work evolves through an intuitive and exploratory process, resulting in a dynamic body of work that often develops into a distinct and ongoing series. Primarily landscapes with a surreal or fantasy like quality, rich with imagination. Gordon draws inspiration from his surroundings, approaching each piece with a sense of curiosity, movement, and discovery.
