The 'Splash' paintings are bright colorful abstract alcohol ink paintings inspired by the carefree spirit and tie dye patterns of the 60's. Creativity is a release from doing what I 'should' do and instead, doing what I love. - Art has always been a part of me. In my early years I studied drawing, painting, and photography. Adult life got in the way when I started my own business. Fortunately, I've been able to be surrounded by beautiful items and art because of my career, but it isn't the same as creating. One of the many things that art has in common with my "real job" is that there is always something to discover. - Currently I'm leaning toward alcohol inks. I love the way the inks work with flowing abstracts, colorful florals, and whimsical themes. The colors are brilliant and luminous. It's also challenging, which keeps it fun.
