The famous intersection in Shibuya, Tokyo in the rain. People with umbrellas hastily cross the intersection. The rain and the dynamics of the scene make the city in the background appear blurred. Only high quality materials were used for the production. Brand oil paints on bodies of real wood. The paint is fully cured and sealed with a varnish (glossy) to ensure optimal longevity. The frame is optional. Plus surcharge of 70€. It is a high quality wooden frame from Larson-Juhl. Dimensions of the picture with frame: 42.2 x 42.2 x 5 cm

I am a self-taught artist without a classical art education who studied interaction design and has been working as a freelance UX designer for over 14 years. I have been painting for more than 7 years now, working almost exclusively in oil. I live and work in Potsdam/Berlin. In my work I mostly deal with urban motifs and landscapes. I am interested in depicting geometric forms of urbanity with color, which is rather organically distributed over the painting ground. In turn, I paint the organic forms of nature as if they were geometric formations. I try to capture the atmosphere, the essence of a place in concrete terms while working as abstractly as possible. It is also about reducing the effort in the sense of a challenge. I try to be minimalist without sacrificing detail.
