Impressionist Portrait of a Grizzly Bear in Brilliant Color I've painted bears often, but this is one of my favorites. I like the strong feeling of the bear as he looks right at us. I think the contrasting colors and the bold brushwork tell a story about this bear on their own. The background of this painting is a muted turquoise. The rest of the painting is a kaleidoscope of dark purples, blues, and oranges - and just a touch of pink. The brushwork is visible and the colors and shapes lock into each other with both soft and hard edges. Title: Take Me Home! UNFRAMED: 16" x 20" x 1/8" The painting is acrylic painted on canvas applied to a treated panel. The panel is about 1/8" thick and ready to frame.
