ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Tamara de Lempicka was a Polish artist who was one of the forerunners of art deco, as well as one of the few female artists who could make a living from her work. She made portraits of celebrities of the time. She lived in various parts of Europe and at the end of her life she settled in Mexico. Thanks to my uncle Jaze I know this great artist. She is part of my Wild Women collection, they are artists who managed to leave a mark on art and somehow were forgotten by history.
