Nozvvu is a pictorial research project focused on reinterpreting visual tradition through contemporary gesture. The work is developed using acrylic and mixed media on large-format canvas, establishing a direct dialogue between historical references—mythology, classical painting, forgotten iconography—and the language of gestural immediacy. Unlike other practices that prioritize the material slowness of oil paint, Nozvvu explores painting as action and intuitive response, where each work is resolved in the tension between cultural memory and spontaneous execution. The pieces function as urgent reinterpretations of figures and episodes marginalized by the official narrative, translated through a process that prioritizes gesture over prolonged elaboration.
