I would like to introduce myself as a passionate artist originally from India, but lived most of my life in the United Arab Emirates. My works are largely influenced by artists who painted and reflected realism; like Rembrandt and the renowned Indian prince/ artist, Raja Ravi Varma. My works are mostly a combination of soft blends and minimal flicks of the palette knife by which I try to bring about the depth and emotions in my creations. Of late, I has been experiencing with mixed media as well as various other contemporary art forms. My favourite subjects are “nature” and the “everyday people” around me whose expressions, the life in their eyes and the stories in their wrinkles all give me great pleasure as I try to capture them in my paintings.
