ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In a world full of vices, traps, distractions and enticements, it is tough to stay steady on one's chosen path. The Yogi keeps the vices away. The spiritual power forms an invisible shield keeping the enemy at bay. This painting shows a Yogi deep in meditation. The golden serpents represent the "Shadripu", the 6 mortal enemies, viz, lust, anger, greed, attachment, intoxication with power and jealousy, away. An invisible shield prevents the serpents from reaching and poisoning the Yogi.

A sabbatical taken from work lead to an opportunity to turn this lifelong friend into a full-time occupation.
