It is believed that war does not leave halftones: everything becomes extremely concrete: black - black, white - white .. As if the masks are sleeping.. This picture was painted by me after a trip to Nepal .. I even left the name for it not "Breath of God", but "Breath of the Gods", taking into account Hinduism .. She was born then as a reflection.. When we are in circumstances that force us to overcome ourselves (were in the Langtang valley and climbed the mountains to a height of 4400 m), a very clear line sets in, cutting reality into “before” and “after” ... Then I realized that before this statement “I tired”, “I’m cold” and others, I didn’t understand their true (for me) meaning at all .. It turned out that when your level of fatigue is such that you physically feel every step as “another one” - this is fatigue. . Or when you climb through the snow and wind, obsessed only with your breathing, because you have no strength for anything else, in the morning you wash yourself from a bucket in which the water is +1, and in the afternoon it is about +15 and the rhododendrons are in bloom, you rethink What does "cold" mean? ...This picture is about relativity and contemplation of Life: when you are high in the clouds, below, in the village where you have recently been, life goes on, but it is already completely different.. ..Now the war has once again made an inventory of valuables in my head. The most global and most ruthless .. When every day the heart is torn to pieces. When in the evening, seeing the news about my hometowns of Irpen and Bucha, you think that there can be no greater atrocity, and in the morning, opening a public telegram, you understand that this abyss continues and continues to unfold .. I know that I have enough strength to endure .. I don’t know where this confidence comes from .. Maybe because now my thoughts and efforts are directed not at myself, but at helping others ..
