"The ceremoni of coincidences" Print

My work moves between the abstract, the surreal and the organic, sometimes human shapes. It comes from an interest in the human relationship to opposites I´ve lived in many places in the world and always had a need to find our similarities rather than our differences. I work with the tensions and contradictions that characterize our time politically, socially and between the genders. I see polarization as something that starts in the individual: in our need to divide the world into contrasts such as beautiful and ugly, good and evil. Through an intuitive and perceptive process, I examine my own emotional contradictions. The works revolve around the desire to create balance where there is discord, and to find peace in the midst of chaos. With my art, I want to reflect on how we can dissolve polarization and approach a more whole experience of ourselves and each other.
