ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Thou shalt not be stolen Belarusian folk tale There was one son with two sons. As they grew up, the father said: - It's time, sons to work. Who wants to do something with you? The sons are silent - they do not know which job to choose. - Well, then let's go, - says his father, - into the world, let's go, let's see what people do. Gathered and left. They go so slowly, the sons are looking at everything, thinking what job to choose. Approached one village. They see - standing at the end of the village of the forge. They went there. Greetings to the blacksmith, talked. The eldest son even took the hammer in his hands - he helped the smith to forge. And again they moved on. They approached the second village. The eldest son looked back and forth: no smithies could be seen in this village. So he says to his father: - Why not put the forge here? I could have been a blacksmith. I like this job. The father is glad: he found, he thinks, the eldest son, how to make a living! -"Well," he says, "be a blacksmith in this village." He set up a forge for his son, and he began to smith. People praise him, and he is pleased with his work. And the younger son, who did not go, could not choose a job in any way. He goes with his father over the meadow. He sees - the ox is grazing. And the village is far away, and the shepherd is not visible. Or maybe I, my father, wanted to steal? Says the son. “Both work is easy and I will have meat every day. I grow tired, and myself, as a pitchfork, will. Steal, ”says the father.“ I am also leading you to choose a craft for yourself. Took a son of an ox and drove home. And the father says: - Wait for me near the forest, I need to visit this village: one of my friends lives there ... The son of an ox is driven, and everything is looked at, whether any one is after him. Until he caught up to the forest, he shook his head. Already a dread of fear became. He waited at the edge of the forest until his father returned, and together they drove the ox home. They slaughtered oxen at home, took off their skins and started cooking meat. Welcomed, father says to son: - Here's a thing, son, let's take a break and see who among us is getting worse from this ox. He took the lace, measured the neck to himself and his son. They sat down at a table. The father eats quietly, and the son glances at the door: Is there anyone who goes looking for an ox? The dog barks, who will pass or who will pass - the son for meat and the skinny one hide in the collar ... And at the very hands and feet tremble. And so it went on day by day. They ate at last that ox. The father says to his son: - Anu we measure the neck: which one of us is smoothed? They were dying, and their father's neck was half as thick, and that of his son was half diminished. Astonished son: Why is that so? Because you ate a stolen ox, ”says his father. You ate the stolen too! - - No, I paid for the owner's ox and ate as my own. That's why I was hungry. And when you sit at the table, fear immediately leaps to your neck and suffocates! Therefore, she is thin. From the stolen, son, you do not make it worse! Motto: Don't steal

I was born in the village Nahoryany, near Dubno, Ukraine. Live in Dubno all my life. .I work in different styles and genres using oil and aquarelle paints, gouache, and also make graphics. Mostly my works are book illustrations. How do i draw my drawings? I make grimaces near the mirror when looking for a needed emotion. I love silence. Like working in the night when the city is asleep. I strive to create expressive images, convey emotions, human behavior. Also I love and paint nature: landscapes, flowers. It is important for me to know that one can find interest in my works, so that I would know my work was not in vain.
