The canvas, crafted with a flowing tapestry of white stucco, weaves a visual tale of an internal odyssey in pursuit of both physical and moral orientation. The intricate, undulating texture of the artwork mirrors the tumultuous landscape of human experience—a river of constant evolution cascading from zenith to nadir. The utilization of white, black, and gray hues via spray paint serves to construct a vivid visual dichotomy, accentuating the manifold shades of human complexity. White, a symbol of purity, conveys the prospect of renewal; black encapsulates challenges and the shadows encountered along the journey, while gray subtly mirrors the nuanced terrain of moral decision-making. The dynamic movement of the stucco flow, converging towards the epicenter of the canvas, signifies an amalgamation of internal energies—a focal point amidst the chaos. This focal point may be interpreted as a symbolic beacon, representing the relentless quest for meaning and direction within the labyrinth of life. The ascendant trajectory of the stucco stream symbolizes not only personal growth but also the triumph over adversity. Consequently, the painting stands as a paean to human tenacity—a testament to the perpetual pursuit of clarity in a world rife with uncertainties and moral paradoxes. In this light, the artwork provides a contemplative space, inviting observers to reflect upon ethical choices and the myriad challenges that punctuate the individual journey, encouraging introspection into their own internal quest for purpose and direction.

My name is Stefano, born in 2000, and this is a brief summary of my artistic journey. I immersed myself in the magnificent world of contemporary art during the second half of my high school studies, falling in love with Van Gogh's post-impressionist paintings accompanied by the captivating literature of Pascoli's decadentism. After graduating from a scientific high school, I attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera (Milan) where I obtained my degree in painting. My early works, dating back to 2016/2017, were unique compositions that encompassed the "Divine Triad of the Arts," namely painting, poetry, and music. After pursuing this project for three years and producing a significant body of work (approximately 40 pieces), I decided to change direction and explore the capabilities of materials in all their aspects, giving them the opportunity to narrate themselves to our naive gaze, attributing to them a meaning beyond their mere objecthood. It is from this point that the series of works titled "The Material of the Gaze" began, a conceptual attempt to tell the story of Plato's hyperuranion and an intrinsic invitation to go beyond the normality of sight. It is an invitation to truly See, delving deep into the soul of things, beyond their mere craftsmanship or color. With this technique, I embarked on a true search for my identity and style, and I believe that as I progress in my studies, this approach will accompany me in every aspect of my artistic evolution.
