Helena Kaori Maeda is a visual artist. Her work reflects the micro and macro perspectives that inevitably shape our lives. She studied at the FAAP Art Academy and pursued Philosophy at the University of São Paulo (USP). Of Japanese descent, Kaori was born and raised in Brazil, later she settled down in the Netherlands. During her first few years there, she immersed herself in the creative subculture of ADM, which profoundly influenced her perspective on life and art. In 2018, she presented a kinetic sculpture exhibition with Frank Hietbrink at NDSM Fuse. She has participated in group exhibitions from 1996 to 2026. Her most recent project is the visual storybook MWe.
