Raised in the north-east of England near the beautiful Northumerland coast, he paints experimental, impressionistic oils and acrylics on canvas or board, capturing the fleeting beauty of nature. Influenced by Pop-Art, Art-Deco, Impressionism, and Cubism, he creates skies intuitively, layering bold colours over days, guided by emotion. He paints what he feels as well as what he sees.
