Darya Kovtun is a contemporary artist whose work explores the emotional landscapes of memory, belonging, and inner journeys. Originally from Belarus and now based in Israel, she brings a rich, multilayered perspective to her practice. Darya completed a professional course in Interior Art at the "Individuum" Art School under Lyudmila Lipovskaya, where she deepened her expertise in textural techniques and acrylic painting for contemporary spaces. Her art captures the quiet poetry of urban life — rain-soaked streets, illuminated windows, and fleeting moments of connection. Working primarily with acrylics and texture paste, she creates layered, tactile surfaces that invite not only visual engagement but also a physical, sensory experience. Her pieces combine elements of contemporary impressionism and emotional realism, offering viewers an intimate exploration of solitude, resilience, and hope. Expanding her creative practice, Darya recently developed the "Songs of the Mountains" series — a contemplative exploration of natural landscapes, capturing the silent emotional voices of mountains through textured reliefs and soft, atmospheric tones. This series marks a deepening of her dialogue with nature, focusing on the universal themes of renewal, silence, and the quiet power of light. Her work has been featured in group exhibitions in Petah Tikva, Israel, exploring themes of resilience, emotional journeys, and the dialogue between natural elements — where land and water meet. In addition to exhibitions, Darya actively participates in local art community events, including the Art-Besedka gathering, celebrating the creative achievements of Petah Tikva’s artists. In addition to her fine art practice, Darya is open to creating custom artworks tailored to private collectors and interior designers, offering pieces that bring depth, warmth, and a timeless emotional resonance to contemporary living spaces.
