ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The inspiration came to me in 2009 to start to sew and make structured canvases for my paintings. The work is made in layered passes with the wheels of my rollerblades. Painted on the ground under the weight of my body, I print and press the paint into the canvas. The process of acting on the canvas as a constructed surface using the X as the foundation inspired me to roll the O on the surface with my body. I love the experimentation and labor of making visual art paintings.
