ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In this small painting I portrayed the atmosphere of the hill near the city and the emotion of the distant sea view: as soon as you climb the hills the sea appears as a long blue line that always accompanies us. The sun is behind and illuminates the scene with a triumphal light. In the foreground you can see the crops that occupy the whole countryside: here the man is not seen but his work in the care of the land is seen. The summer sky is very intense, barely veiled by streaks of light clouds. The medium I always use is oil on canvas, which allows me to carefully describe the most precious details.
