ABOUT THE ARTWORK
During Covid shut down, I felt restless. Yet, I was happy that I was at Svanir, a Wilderness Eco-stay next to an Elephant Sanctuary in Bhubaneswar. So, whenever I could, I would move out with my camera among the trees and try to discover unseen close-ups of nature. This is a photo I saw one morning on a tree whose branches had to be hacked following a cyclone. The scar instantly reminded me of a demon. . You may like to display this at the entrance to off-bound space/ room

I am a seventy three year young at heart retiree civil servant. I have been an ardent observer of the changes that have been taking place in mankind’s exploitative approach to nature and natural resources in the context of social development. I have recorded such attitudinal changes through the medium of still photography spanning over forty eventful years. My wife Gouri, son Soumya, his wife Indrani, my only 17 month old grandchild Ishaan and I are engaged in running a Wilderness Eco-stay () on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, touching a 189 km sq Wildlife Sanctuary. Most of my artworks have been 'discovered' within svanir's premises. Hope you will visit us as soon as travel restrictions and post Covid-19 safety issues permit.
