My work is rooted in portraiture as an act of presence, trust, and witnessing. I am drawn to the human face as a site of lived experience, where emotion, resilience, and vulnerability coexist. Using the camera as an extension of perception, I seek to create portraits that are both honest and dignified, allowing each subject to be seen on their own terms. Much of my practice is informed by long-term, socially engaged projects, particularly those addressing marginalisation, health, and identity. Whether working in a documentary or fine-art context, my intention is to slow the gaze and invite connection, encouraging the viewer to encounter the subject with empathy, curiosity, and respect.
