Reflections in nature are not as simple as they may seem. The word itself has a double meaning. Is it one of the numerous ways in nature's self-consciousness? Is it a hidden gate to other dimensions? Who knows? Sometimes some misty reflections are so odd... as if they try to give us a hint. But what...

Artist Statement I work with landscapes and natural forms as living presences rather than static scenes. Some places speak quietly, through light, color, rhythm, and subtle movement. My practice is about slowing down enough to hear that voice. Through photography, I explore how nature communicates beyond words — not as a backdrop, but as an active, sensing entity. Each image is an attempt to translate the atmosphere of a place and invite the viewer into a state of presence and attentive observation. Background I was born in 1963 in Riga, Latvia, and spent my childhood near the Baltic Sea, among sandy dunes, pine forests, and shifting coastal light. Early experiences of solitude in nature shaped my way of seeing and listening. My father, an architect, introduced me to photography, drawing, and visual thinking. From him, I learned not only technical skills, but the importance of feeling space, form, and rhythm — lessons that continue to guide my work. Artistic Focus My work centers on: subtle dynamics of natural environments transitions of color and light overlooked details revealed through close attention the emotional and atmospheric presence of a place I am drawn to the quiet boundary where perception meets intuition, where science and art gently overlap. Closing Thought I believe that attentive interaction with nature restores sensitivity, deepens emotional balance, and reminds us of the fragile beauty that calls for care, respect, and preservation.
