About the Artist

Walter Weinberg

Austria

In my paintings, I depict the expression of emotions through colors and abstract forms—in acrylic on canvas, combined with organic natural elements and various other materials. It is an authentic expression of the moment and the situation in which I create my artwork.
In my photography, I want the viewer to see the world from my subjective perspective and, in doing so, allow their own feelings to emerge as they look at the image. My eyes are like an eagle’s: I see distant details and capture situations, even if they are only a small part of a larger event. I want to freeze reality in a work of art to focus on just a few seconds of life. I also want to alter the expression of the photographed subject through my framing of real-world elements. My visual journey of discovery takes place both at home and in distant lands. In this way, I share my perspective on other ways of life, landscapes, cities, and faces through my photographs.
