Tipping Lines #02 Print - Limited Edition of 15

Limited editions of 70x86cm are printed on Hahnemühle FineArt Photo Rag paper 308 g/m2, and are delivered with author certificate. Each artwork includes a 1cm white border on all four sides to facilitate framing. The sea has been a big part of my life ever since childhood. One of the things that stroke my curiosity the most is the difference between everything happening above and below water. In this series, the photographs are created by joining two distinct photographs of those two worlds. The structure of the photograph reveals different layers which lead to different readings of the artwork. Each dividing line in the image is referred to as a “Tipping Line”, introducing one layer after another. The superposition of these two worlds accentuates the contrast of calmness versus chaos and linearity versus horizontality. The image also highlights the different reactions of the water with the light reflecting on its surface or on its particles underwater.
