ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This photo shows the beginning of a rotary kiln in which cement is produced. If you've never seen it before, it's hard to believe. A huge pipe, very hot, rotates slowly, is very long and at the end chunks of cement come out, which later have to be ground.

PHOTOGRAPHS FOR TECHNIC LOVERS. I love photography. And I love technology. I have been booked as a photographer for technical projects in Germany and Europe for years. I photograph topics such as mechanical engineering, automation, steel, chemicals and aerospace for my clients. As diverse as these topics are, they have one thing in common - they give the viewer and me a little insight into the fascinating world of technology. In my photography, I always try to photograph these subjects as exciting and thrilling as they are in reality. As my photography is always commissioned, the client's interests naturally come first. But I always try to take a picture for myself, a picture that reflects my personal interpretation of the industrial and technical aesthetics at the beginning of the 3rd millennium. My photography takes me to places that are normally closed to visitors. You don't just visit a steelworks or a chip production plant. So my photography also consists to a large extent of motifs that are unknown to many viewers. A perfect example is the picture - fly me to the Moon. It shows the interior of a satellite that is currently being built. When I photographed there, I was well aware of the uniqueness of these motifs and I was quite excited. But I think this photograph is quite successful. Or a photograph of the inside of a rotary kiln for chic steel production. If you look inside, you can see a waterfall of sparks and molten steel. Unbelievable.
