This sculpture belongs to the organic family. It's made of terracotta and an iron base. I was born in Barcelona and I graduated in Fine Arts in Cuenca's University. I am currently working on the creation of Totems, made up of stacked pieces of stoneware, which come from the field of utilitarian ceramics. I use shapes with expressive deformations, fitting them into columns of variable composition. When I started working in this craft, I realised that everything revolved around the feminine. The earth, the circle and the shapes that emerge from this millenary technique produce utilitarian pieces that are the mark of ancient civilisations, apparently fragile, but which have survived thousands of years underground. The superimposition of ceramic pieces crossed by an iron rod was born as a symbol of women's work, care and generosity towards their loved ones, and at the same time alludes to the feminine role and its historical link with the domestic sphere.
