Grace Slick has never been particularly interested in staying in one lane. Best known as the voice behind Jefferson Airplane, Grace turned her attention to painting in the 1990s, spending three decades making art in near-total privacy. Her subjects followed her curiosity wherever it led—down the rabbit hole with Alice, into political and cultural satire, capturing portraits of counterculture icons she lived alongside. United by a psychedelic, folkloric, and irreverent vision, Grace creates with the clarity of a creative who has always known what she wanted to say and never needed permission to say it.
In the largest release from her archive to date, hundreds of original works—never before exhibited or offered publicly—are being made available to Saatchi Art collectors.
