The artwork is a Korean paper cast of the ripple marks collected from Dadaepo Beach in Busan, Korea, at the place of 35°02'35.6"N 128°58'2.49"E on May 2, 2021. If you look closely, you can infer the weather, the flow of waves, and the geology of that day. In this way, a being is formed by the accumulation of numerous elements, and its traces are engraved on the body like tree rings. [Features on the surface] This work is the first Korean paper casting from the collected ripple mark from beach, so the sand and shells of the beach at the time are attached. [materials] As it is a story of the interaction between life and nature, I used traditional flour paste handmade by fermenting and drying directly for a long time and Korean traditional paper because I believed that the ingredients themselves should be nature-friendly and aimed at a virtuous cycle. The artwork is wooden framed, ready to hang with wire.

I continue to explore the relationship between the way existence builds life and the surrounding context based on various material experiments. I deal with the story of a thin and deep membrane in which various beings on Earth are connected, and express through 'absorption' the phenomenon in which minute action is repeated and gradually visualized.
