ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Done in the new neoclassic style - a term that relates to an artistic movement that emerged in Europe in the mid-1700s. It aimed to rescue the aesthetic and cultural values of the civilizations of antiquity (Greece and Rome) through simplicity and aesthetic purity. The movement re-emerged briefly at the turn of the century. The Rent collection courtyard sculptures provided the inspiration for this series.
