I, Samuel Kwame Oseigyei Kumah, am a versatile artist born on the 10th of September 1988 in the heart of Creativity Nima, Accra. At age 8, I discovered my artistic talent, despite initial parental reservations, especially from my mother, who felt art wasn't a lucrative profession. My grandmother's unwavering support encouraged me to pursue my passion. To hone my skills, I worked under three masters and later enrolled in Ghanatta College of Arts and Design. In 2012, I launched my full-time art career as Big Sam Arts. My art advocates for unity and harmony, addressing racism, discrimination, bias, and injustice. By incorporating blue into human figures, I transcend conventional skin tones, emphasizing shared humanity and equal respect. I am an artist who uses the color blue in my paintings of human figures to bridge the gap between different skin tones. I believe that the color blue is a universal color that can represent all people, regardless of their race or ethnicity. By choosing to paint my figures in blue, I am creating a visual representation of unity and harmony. I hope that my work can help to promote a more inclusive and accepting society. My artworks also aim to solve problems worldwide which includes love, sadness, happiness and preach peace. I am inspired by the challenges that people face around the world, and I want my work to be a force for positive change. I believe that art can be used to raise awareness of important issues, and I hope that my work can help to make a difference in the world. I am also committed to disregarding racism and encouraging oneness. I believe that we are all human beings, and we should treat each other with respect and compassion. I hope that my work can help to create a more just and equitable world.
